Singapore – Forever Young?
The crescent moon on the Singapore flag represents a young nation on the ascendant. For a nation celebrating its 45th birthday this year, are we still considered “young”, filled with vibrancy and dynamism? During the Kent Ridge Ministerial Forum 2010, our guest speaker, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean, will discuss the challenges Singapore faces as our economy, population and society mature, and how we need to continually find ways to renew and re-invent ourselves, so that we can forever be a “young nation on the ascendant”.
The highlight of this forum is the Question-and-Answer session, which will be fully opened to the floor. Members of the audience will be able to put forth questions pertaining to the theme, and engage in a discussion with the Guest Speaker. This session will be moderated by Associate Professor Bilveer Singh from the Department of Political Science.
